Poly-Oph Eye drop is used for conjunctival infections, blepharitis, keratitis, dacryocystitis whitch caused by susceptible organism, corneal ulcers.
Composition Each ml of - Oph Eye Drops contains Neomycin Sulfate equivalent to Neomycin Base 2 mg. Polymyxin B Sulfate equivalent to Polymyxin B 5000 units, and Gramicidin 0.025 mg.

Poly-Oph Eye Drops is a sterile, buffered isotonic aqueous solution of antibiotics; Neomycin Sulfate, Polymyxin B Sulfate, Gramicidin.
Neomycin Sulfate is an antibacterial and effective against Stephylococci and a wide range of gram-negative bacteria including Escherichia coli, Klebsiella, Haemophilus influenzae, Proteus, Salmonella, and Shigella. Mycobacterium tuberculosis is sensitive. It acts by interferes with bacterial protein synthesis.
Polymyxin B Sulfate is an antibacterial and the antibacterial spectrum of Polymyxin B Sulfate is restricted to gram-negative bacteria, including Aerobacter, Eberthella, Escherichia, Haemophilus, Klebsiella, Pasteurella, Pseudomonas, Salmonella, Shigella and Vibrio. It acts by damages the bacterial cytoplasmic membrane.
Gramicidin is an antibacterial against gram-positive organisms (except for the gram-positive bacilli) and against certain gram -negative organisms, such as the Neisseria. It acts by damages the bacterial cytoplasmic membrane.
Poly-Oph Eye Drops is used for Conjunctival infections, blepharitis, keratitis, dacryocystitis which are caused by susceptible organisms.
1-2 drops into the conjunctival sac(s) 4-5 times daily.
- Don't let the dropping nozzle (tip) contact with anything eg. fingers, eyeball, eyelash, eyelids, etc. as the germs may contaminated the content. Always replace the cap immediately after use.
- Do not use longer than 1 month after first open.
Hypersensitivity to any components of Poly-Oph Eye Drops; or to cross- sensitising substances eg. gentamicin, kanamycin and other related antibiotics.
Prolonged use may result in super infection as like other antibacterial preparations.
